MBA Admission

Registration for the class of 2018-20 commenced. KMAT-Kerala of November-2017 and April-2018 or CMAT of AICTE holders of September-2017 and February-2018 and CAT/XAT score holders’ can approach the MCMAT for registration to the 2018 MBA admission.

Eligibility

Graduates (10+2+3) from any recognized University with 50% aggregate marks in any discipline. Students awaiting final year results are also eligible to apply. SC/ST candidates are offered a concession in eligibility limits up to 5%.

Admission Procedure:

MCMAT is using the score in the KMAT Entrance-Kerala of November-2017 and April-2018 or CMAT of AICTE holders of September-2017 and February-2018 and CAT/XAT for admission to the MBA program of 2018-20. Candidates with scores in CAT of IIM, XAT of XIM and MAT of MGU can also apply separately to the college. The aspiring candidates have to appear in KMAT-Kerala or Common Management Aptitude Test (CMAT) of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

The registration and issue of application forms have begun and are available at the MCMAT office on submission of DD of Rs.1,000/- (in person) or Rs.1,100/- (by post) drawn in favour of Director, MCMAT payable at Perumbavoor. The candidate can apply online through the below given link. The application blank can also be downloaded from the website. Group Discussion and Interview for the shortlisted candidates will be informed by telephone or through e-mail.

Processing, selection and continuance in the program of the provisionally admitted student is subject to submitting their degree certificates before the commencement of the First Semester MBA Examination.

Final Year students and Candidates appearing for KMAT Entrance-Kerala or CMAT of AICTE can register for early submission of application and GD and interview.

Application Form:

Aspiring candidates are expected to submit the filled-in application form made available in the office of the MCMAT on payment of Rs.1,000/- by cash or Rs.1,100/- by DD drawn in favor of Director, MCMAT payable at Perumbavoor, Ernakulam with the following documents attached:

Copies of:

  1. Relevant page of SSLC to prove age and date of birth,
  2. Mark lists of 10th, +2 and degree examinations,
  3. Qualifying degree certificates,
  4. KMAT Entrance-Kerala Score Card or CMAT score supplied by AICTE,
  5. 2 copies of photographs.

Selection of Candidates

Admission to Management Quota

The candidates have to qualify in the Management Aptitude Test conducted by KMAT Entrance-Kerala or CMAT of AICTE, GD and interview.

Admission to the Government / Merit Quota

This shall be based on the score obtained by the student in CMAT examination conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) or KMAT Entrance-Kerala and the marks scored in GD and interview conducted by MCMAT separately.

Candidates short-listed on the basis of CMAT/KMAT Entrance-Kerala/CAT/XAT scores would be invited for GD and Interview. Differential weightage is given for scores in KMAT Entrance-Kerala, CMAT, CAT, XAT, qualifying examination, GD and Interview for selection.

The admissions in different approved quotas shall be strictly on the basis of merit, according to the procedure mentioned above. The rank lists will be published for Management seats and Govt. quota seats separately and those candidates selected/ waitlisted for admission to the course will be intimated. However, the candidates are advised to verify their position in the notification published in the MCMAT notice board.
