Academic Council Meeting

The Academic Advisory Council of the college met at MCMAT on September 26. The council has decided to hold its meetings as and when our overseas members visit India. Several important suggestions to improve the functioning of the Management Education in MCMAT were given. Prof. Abraham Koshy, IIM, Ahmedabad, Mr.T.T. Thomas, former CMD, FACT and Mr.T. Damu, Sr. Vice President, India Hotels, Southern Region were among the members attending the meeting.

Prof. (Dr.) Abraham Koshy, IIM, Ahmedabad led a Seminar on “New paradigms in Marketing,” This seminar was part of MCMAT Management and Skill Development Program.
Prof Koshy highlighted the sovereignty of the customer, where marketing’s needs to be focused from the view-point of the customer. Marketing from the point of view of the producer has become redundant. The session lasted for 3 hours, with an interface session with the students for the last 1 hour.
Our Director, Dr. Rajan Varghese welcomed the house, and Student Representative offered Vote of thanks.
